Knox Duathlon – 27th July 2008

The Club will again be hosting a race in the ever popular Brooks Triathlon Victoria Duathlon Series this winter.  The Knox race will be on Sunday 27th July 2008 at the Knox Park venue.

The event will comprise both a Dash format (2km run/10km ride/1km run) and the main event being a Sprint format over the traditional 5km run/20km ride/3km run distance.

With a Start and Finish on the Knox Athletics track, a scenic run on the bike path, a fast somewhat technical bike leg in the nearby commercial estate and great KTC member support, the Knox Duathlon has proven to be very popular amongst the Tri/Du fraternity.

The event takes much planning and organising and much of this is undertaken by your KTC committee members.

The support of Club members cannot be overlooked, because without this the event would not get past the planning stage and onto race day.  Assistance with set-up, marshalling, drink stations, registrations, canteen, bag packing and much more is part and parcel of being a KTC member at Duathlon time.

Please put Sunday 27th July aside in your diary now and look out for more news of the Knox Duathlon in future editions of the Transition and on knoxtriclub.com

ps: If you have any questions or feel you can contribute towards the success of the Knox Duathlon, please see or call me.
